Essential concepts of chemistry will be taught, including:
- states of matter
- various models of atoms and molecules
- stoichiometry
- geometry and bonding theories
- reactions and energetics
- intermolecular forces
- chemical and physical equilibria
- chemical kinetics
As a chemical engineer, I will use the practical application of chemical knowledge to provide a context for your learning. Also, I will present the history of the development of course content. A great deal of self-study is expected. You will need access to high-speed internet connectivity outside of class meetings.

We will be using Apologia Chemistry 2nd edition, you do not need to answer key unless you want it, as video solutions will be made for some of the problems.
